Lower Norton Lane, Weston-super-mare,
This one left so little space to pass it that I almost collided with a back wheel. It looked like someone else had hit the rear wing already. What a stupid place to park a shiny sports car!
Locking Road and Hutton Moor Road, Weston-super-mare,
Mandatory Bike Lanes and Double Yellow Lines don't apply if you're attending a plumbing emergency in a white van and facing the wrong way.
Locking Road, Weston-super-mare,
I think the posters in the windows are car for sale ads like on http://bristol.mybikelane.com/post/index/10416 in the same location. Do cyclists give up trying to ride around irresponsible parkers and buy the car instead?
Bristol Road, Weston-super-mare,
Picture taken on the move from the other side of the road, so the number plate isn't recognisable. Lucky escape, green Peugeot!
Locking Road, Weston-super-mare,
Another Day, Another Car-Cyclist Crash Cause parked in the Locking Road Cycle Lane. Utterly unnecessary - there were empty spaces in the car parking area across the road. But no, they've driven across the road to park facing the traffic in the cycle lane.
Locking Road, Weston-super-mare,
and the small cars are falling from the trees into the wide bike lane. Annoyingly, there were empty car parking spaces about 20m behind it, so there was absolutely no need to park in the bike lane on a Sunday.
Yes, this bike lane really is that wide. Sorry I didn't get its white edge line in shot.
Locking Road, Weston-super-mare,
Familiar face WM02EKP was parked just nudging the narrow advisory lane because the car for sale had its prime space in the wide bike lane across the road.
Lower Norton Lane, Weston-super-mare,
...even if it's still a through road for bicycles and horses! Just what I wanted to crash into at the end of a gloomy day!
New Bristol Rd, Weston-super-mare,
Repeat offender in this area, but usually it parks in the advisory cycle lane, not the mandatory one.
Locking Road, Weston-super-mare,
...so let's park one in it. This wide bike lane is a favourite spot for parking, taking advantage of Avon and Somerset Police's policy of not acting on bike lane parking unless there are also double yellow lines.
Locking Road, Weston-super-mare,
This Corsa isn't satisfied with parking in the bike lane on this roundabout approach, so they go for the verge too. If the car was a bit bigger, they'd probably try the hat-trick of the pavement too.
